Job summary

CSG Talent is partnering with a high-growth consumer products company in Libertyville, IL to hire an Accountant who will own day-to-day accounting, including AP/AR, invoicing, reconciliations and month-end close. The role requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

You will support budgeting, cash-flow reporting and liaise with external accountants, auditors and tax advisors as the company scales.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of accounting or finance experience
• Strong understanding of core accounting principles
• Experience across AP, AR, reconciliations and month-end
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable working with vendors, contractors and external partners
• Proactive and able to work independently
• Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a high-growth, entrepreneurial CPG environment
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including AP, AR, invoicing and payments
• Complete bank, credit card and other account reconciliations
• Support month-end close, journal entries and financial reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Work closely with vendors, suppliers and contractors, including invoice management and payments
• Assist with contractor and vendor administration
• Support external accountants, auditors and tax advisors
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow reporting
• Help maintain and improve accounting processes and systems
• Provide broader finance and administrative support to the business
• Take ownership of ad hoc projects and responsibilities as the company continues to scale
