Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience in banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, including AP/AR, reconciliations, amortization, consolidations, and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis for financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Uphold UNFCU's mission and provide excellent service to colleagues and members.
• Manage end-to-end accounting operations including AP, Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, vendor maintenance, and payments.
• Prepare monthly reporting packages and improve accounting processes for timely financial reporting.
• Update the Accounting Procedures Manual; support audits and internal controls.
• Provide ad hoc analyses and assist team to meet objectives.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and UNFCU ethics.
