Venteon in Commerce Township, MI, seeks a detail-oriented Accountant to support the month-end close and provide critical bookkeeping support. The role focuses on accurate records, vendor/customer maintenance, journal entries, and timely financial reporting.

Qualifications include 4–5+ years of accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with A/P/A/R, bank reconciliations, and QuickBooks Online with strong Excel skills. Degree preferred; HS diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Finance Director to ensure accounting tasks are completed timely and accurately.
• Maintain vendor and customer account information in the system.
• Enter vendor invoices, code them correctly to the job / general ledger account code, and process vendor payments bi-weekly.
• Generate customer invoices according to specific contract terms including work-in-progress invoices. Process sales transactions daily.
• Provide support for month-end close by preparing and entering journal entries and accruals, performing reconciliations, and producing financial reports.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and balance-sheet accounts.
• Support the broader team with additional bookkeeping tasks as needed to help close the books accurately and on time each month.

VENTEON and HARVARD RESOURCE SOLUTIONS are hiring a detail-oriented ACCOUNTANT to provide support in Commerce Township, MI. Our construction client is seeking an individual to perform accounting activities and provide support for the month-end closing process.

PAY $60,000 to $70,000 annually plus PTO and benefits.

Requirements of the Accountant:

• College degree is desired. HS Diploma required. Knowledge of GAAP required.
• 4–5+ years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Experience with A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, creating journal entries and performing general ledger reconciliations.
• Experience with debits and credits.
• Knowledgeable in inventory and job-costing.
• Person who enjoys working with numbers and strives for accuracy.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online. Strong MS Excel capability.
