The ideal candidate is a QuickBooks expert with CPA firm experience who can work independently to deliver high-quality financial insights.

The role includes full-cycle accounting, tax preparation for individuals, businesses, and trusts, payroll processing, and client advisory on tax planning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and professional tax software.
• Experience in a Professional Services/CPA firm is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of complex tax research and payroll compliance.

Responsibilities

• Full-Cycle Accounting: bank reconciliations and monthly statements using QuickBooks Online/Desktop.
• Tax Preparation: individual, business, and trust/estate returns; stay current on tax laws.
• Client Advisory: engage with clients to review results and discuss tax planning opportunities.
• Payroll & Compliance: oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate tax filings.

Role Summary

Responsibilities

• Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage bank reconciliations and prepare monthly income statements and balance sheets using QuickBooks Online/Desktop.
• Tax Preparation: Prepare individual, business, and trust/estate tax returns; stay current on evolving tax legislation.
• Client Advisory: Interface directly with clients to gather data, review financial results, and discuss tax planning opportunities.
• Payroll & Compliance: Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate federal/state tax filings.

Qualifications

• Expertise: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and professional tax software.
• Experience: Previous background in a Professional Services/CPA firm is preferred.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of complex tax research and payroll compliance.
• Credentials: Detail-oriented self-starter; CPA or EA candidates are a plus.
