Delivers accurate and timely accounting, financial reporting, and analysis that support sound business decisions, financial integrity, and compliance with accounting standards.
What You Will Do:
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational standards.
- Prepare financial reports and analyze results to provide meaningful insights for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support special projects, account reconciliations, and ad hoc financial reporting requests.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls while ensuring accounting procedures comply with GAAP.
What You Have:
- Education/Experience: Degree or equivalent experience desired
- Accounting: Knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and systems; ability to record transactions, maintain financial integrity, and support accurate financial reporting.
- Applies cost-monitoring and accounting practices to support business performance.
- Reviews and records financial transactions with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Classifies, reconciles, and validates financial data in accordance with accounting policies.
- Maintains chart-of-accounts integrity and consistent account usage.
- Ensures financial information is accurately entered and reported within accounting systems.
Financial Analysis:
- Evaluates financial performance and investment opportunities.
- Interprets financial statements and key business drivers.
- Analyzes trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
- Uses financial analysis tools effectively.
- Provides clear, data-driven recommendations to support decision-making.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepares and reviews financial reports in accordance with organizational standards.
- Investigates reporting errors and supports timely resolution.
- Develops accurate, business-focused financial reports.
- Ensures compliance with reporting and documentation requirements.
- Applies established reporting procedures and internal review controls.
Accuracy and Attention to Detail:
- Evaluates the financial impact of errors, omissions, and control gaps.
- Uses reconciliations, account reviews, and supporting documentation to confirm accuracy.
- Processes detailed financial information accurately.
- Investigates errors and applies lessons learned to prevent recurrence.
- Uses checklists and review controls to support accurate, audit-ready work.

Summary Pay Range:
$89,210.00 - $133,810.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
