Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks an Accountant to join Teledyne Scientific & Imaging in Thousand Oaks, CA. You will support revenue recognition, internal controls, and management reporting under GAAP while collaborating with a team focused on accuracy and efficiency.

This role emphasizes inventory and cost accounting, periodic reconciliations, audits, and process improvements, with an onsite requirement and citizenship eligibility for facility access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation and analysis.
• Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, and internal controls.
• Familiarity with government contract compliance, FAR, and CAS regulations (preferred).
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint, TM1, and OneStream (a plus).
• Ability and willingness to work onsite full-time in Thousand Oaks, CA.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to facility access.

Responsibilities

• Analyze inventory usage and purchasing variances; partner with Operations to identify root causes.
• Reconcile inventory subledger to the general ledger and recommend COGS adjustments as needed.
• Prepare period cost reserves, E&O analyses, and related journal entries.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and prepare quarterly financial variance explanations.
• Lead and participate in quarterly and annual audits, tax packs, surveys, and physical inventory counts.
• Contribute to special projects focused on process improvement, efficiency, and profitability.

Salary Range:

$77,900.00-$103,800.000
