The State College Area School District (SCASD) is currently accepting applications for an Accountant to work closely with the Assistant Business Administrator in maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting of all transactions in compliance with relevant accounting, state, and federal laws and guidelines.
Responsibilities include budget management, monthly financial board reports, lead staff role for audit preparationand mandated state reporting, as well as managing thereal estate tax billing process. T he accountant will also assist in the maintenance and efficient use of financial systems and in developing and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. The accountant must demonstrate strong analytical skills as well as be proficient in Microsoft Excel to perform various analyses when assessing financial data.

In addition, this individual will demonstrate a commitment to diversity; the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations; strong written and oral communication, administrative, and organizational skills; and the ability to work under pressure and maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with a minimum of five years of experience, preferably in a school district environment.
