Job summary

ExecuSource Accountant role in Stafford, TX is onsite during training with a hybrid arrangement after training (1 remote day per week after 90 days). The position focuses on the month-end close, general ledger, reconciliations, and cash management within a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and is detail-oriented and collaborative.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Approximately 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong experience with month-end close, journal entries, GL accounting, and reconciliations.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting; manufacturing accounting a plus.
• SAP experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end journal entries, accruals, prepaid schedules, depreciation, and GL reconciliations.
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with treasury and cash management activities.
• Prepare monthly sales and gross margin reporting.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed.
• Review and resolve customer order issues with Sales and Accounting.
• Assist with inventory reconciliations, cycle count approvals, and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Review goods received accounts and resolve aging balances.
• Assist with standard cost updates and operational accounting activities.
• Support external audit preparation and month-end close activities.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and financial analyses as assigned.

Our client is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accountant to join its team. This position plays a key role in the month-end close process while supporting general ledger accounting, reconciliations, cash management, reporting, and a variety of operational accounting functions. • SAP experience is preferred but not required
• Cost accounting experience is a plus, not required
