Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a Corporate Accounting professional to serve as a liaison between Accounting and Information Systems. The role focuses on supporting key account-related systems, processes, and data to improve accuracy and efficiency.

The candidate will maintain lease accounting software, assist with system tests, support month-end close, and help manage master data. Strong communication skills and SAP proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
• 1+ years of accounting or finance experience.
• Working knowledge of SAP and advanced Microsoft Office.
• CPA candidate is preferred but not required.
• Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills.

Summary

This Corporate Accounting role within the Accounting Systems and Support team serves as a key liaison between Accounting and Information Systems, supporting critical account-related systems, processes, and data.

Responsibilities

• maintaining lease accounting software
• performing system testing
• supporting month-end close activities
• managing accounting master data
• helping resolve end-user inquiries through Remedy IT Support ticket software
• contributing to data model development by analyzing business needs and providing actionable insights to stakeholders
• additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in an academic field directly related and essential to this job (Accounting or Finance degree preferred)
• Experience: 1+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience
• Technical Skills: Working knowledge of SAP and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications preferred
• Special Skills: Certified Public Accountant, eligible to sit for CPA exam, preferred, but not required
• Communication Skills: Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills
• Supervisory: None
• Travel: None
