Job summary

Bullpen in New York, NY seeks an Accountant to join its private real estate finance team. You will support property-level accounting, financial reporting, and lender/investor reporting across a portfolio of commercial assets.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of real estate accounting, strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, and fluency in Mandarin and English. This role offers exposure to both property and corporate accounting within a lean finance group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Three to five years of professional accounting experience.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English, written and spoken.
• Experience with commercial real estate or property accounting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial-statement preparation.
• Experience with Yardi, MRI, RealPage, or a comparable platform.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes for commercial real estate assets and holding entities.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and supporting financial schedules.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor payments, and cash-flow forecasting.
• Prepare property-level and corporate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Partner with Asset Management to analyze budgets, operating results, and variances.
• Assist with lender reporting, investor reporting, and debt-compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals.
• Maintain supporting documentation and internal accounting controls.
• Assist with corporate accounting, treasury activity, and transaction closings.
• Communicate financial information across U.S.-based and international stakeholders.
• Support special projects and additional accounting functions as needed.

A privately held institutional real estate investment and ownership platform is seeking a Accountant to join its New York-based finance team.

This position will support property-level accounting and financial reporting across a portfolio of commercial real estate assets, along with select corporate and operating entities. The ideal candidate has three to five years of relevant accounting experience, strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, and professional fluency in both Mandarin and English.

Public accounting, accounting advisory, or consulting candidates with meaningful real estate exposure will also be considered. CPA or progress toward a CPA is preferred but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary of approximately $100,000
• Annual bonus opportunity of 15%–20%
