Job summary

Jefferson Wells is seeking accounting professionals for contract/consulting roles. Most projects are remote, with some hybrid and local to the metro Philadelphia area. W2 hourly based on experience and client requirements: $50 – $85 hr.

Responsibilities include month-end close, financial reporting, audits, budgeting, and coordinating with tax accountants. A BS in accounting or finance is required, CPA preferred, with strong GAAP and Excel skills and ERP experience (SAP/NetSuite).

Qualifications

• BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Understanding of GAAP.
• Experience with accounting software/ERP (SAP and NetSuite preferred).
• Advanced MS Excel knowledge (formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Organize and update financial records as needed.
• Analyze transactions and prepare reports.
• Perform regular audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments.
• Forecast revenue and analyze profit margins.
• Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivable.
• Participate in budgeting processes.
• Brief senior managers on the company’s financial status.
• Liaise with Tax Accountants to track tax payments and returns.
