Job summary

R&W Electric Co. is seeking an experienced accountant or CPA to join our team in Mississippi. The role requires a BS in Accounting, strong math skills, and a minimum GPA of 3.0 in accounting courses.

Preference will be given to applicants who have passed the CPA exam and the right to the CPA title, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant employment experience. Supervisory experience in accounting or related fields is highly valued, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Viewpoint Software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting from an accredited university; minimum GPA 3.0 in all accounting courses.
• Preference given to applicants who have passed the CPA exam and earned the right to CPA title.
• Minimum 3 years of documentable employment experience working as an accountant or CPA.
• Must demonstrate supervisory/managerial experience: 1 year in accounting dept/firm or 2 years in supervisory role with 3+ employees in a non-accounting dept/firm.
• Must be familiar with and able to effectively use Microsoft Office products.
• Preference for experience with Viewpoint Accounting Software.

Job description

• Bachelor of Science Degree in accounting from an Accredited University minimum. Must exhibit strong math skills and 3.0 or better grades in all accounting courses taken. Preference will be given to GPAs of 3.5 or higher with a BS in Accounting.
• Preference will be given to applicants who have taken and passed the CPA exam and have earned the right to the title of CPA.
• Must have a minimum 3 years of documentable employment experience working as an accountant or CPA.
• Must show a minimum of one of the following:
  • 1 year in a supervisory or management role in an accounting department or firm.
  • 2 years in a supervisory or management role of a minimum of three or more employees in a non accounting related department or firm.
• Must be able to demonstrate strong skills in all of the following areas:
  • Microsoft EXCEL
  • Experience with specialty accounting software with a preference in any of the following:
    • Viewpoint Accounting and Project Management Software
• Applicant must be familiar with and able to effectively use Microsoft Office platform products.
• Preference will be given to applicants that can document experience with and the use of Viewpoint Accounting Software.
