Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC's WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking an Accountant level 2 for a 5-month, W-2 contract in Juno Beach, FL. You will support accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives in Unregulated Property Accounting.

Responsibilities include month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, SOX controls, and preparing management reporting. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Accounting, 6+ years in financial reporting, CPA/CMA/MBA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA, CMA, MBA, or Master's in Accounting preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in financial reporting, policy development and compliance.
• Knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, SOX compliance; experience with acquisitions/divestitures and oil & gas accounting.

• Collaborate with internal business partners and IBM MXDC resources to support accounting operations.
• Manage month-end close activities, journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Apply GAAP, policies, and internal controls to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
• Utilize accounting systems and reporting tools to analyze data, identify trends and resolve issues.
• Research accounting matters and recommend practical solutions to support business objectives.
• Prepare timely management reporting and support internal and external reporting requirements.
• Execute SOX controls and maintain integrity of financial information through established processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, controls, and scalability.

About the role: Location: Juno Beach, FL 33408

We are looking for an Accountant level 2 on behalf of our client. This is a 5-month contract assignment. (W-2) You will support accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This is for Unregulated Property Accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate effectively with internal business partners and IBM MXDC resources to support timely and accurate accounting operations.
• Independently manage assigned accounting processes, including month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Apply GAAP, company policies, and internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
• Utilize accounting systems and reporting tools to analyze data, identify trends, and resolve issues.
• Research accounting matters and recommend practical solutions to support business objectives.
• Prepare timely and accurate management reporting and support internal and external reporting requirements.
• Execute SOX controls and maintain the integrity of financial information through adherence to established processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, controls, and scalability.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required.
• CPA, CMA, MBA, or Master's in Accounting preferred.
• Relevant Experience: 6+ years of experience in financial reporting, policy development, and compliance.
• Experience with accounting research initiatives, develops financial policies, and ensures compliance with evolving regulations.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, SOX compliance and accounting software preferred. Experience in acquisition/divestiture transactions, oil and gas industry accounting, and

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $28.00/hr. to $33.00/hr.
