Job summary

DCDC supports secure distribution of feature films, promotional materials, pre-show content, and live events. The network is designed to deliver a high-quality entertainment experience to audiences while offering exhibitors and content providers a strategic, cost-effective distribution model. As digital distribution replaces traditional physical media, DCDC enables access to flexible delivery options and robust resources that support modern theatrical operations.

Role Description:

The Accountant role at DCDC is a full-time hybrid position based in Los Angeles, CA, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable processing, general ledger entries, bank and account reconciliations, and month-end close support. The Accountant will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely execution of business administration and accurate financial reporting, while supporting audits and regulatory reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for monthly financial statements and executing month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Oversee entry-level accountants and other finance personnel
  • Manage relationships with external service providers, including the tax compliance team for Properties Tax and Sales tax; the IT service team, to ensure service deliverables are maintained at an optimal level.
  • Responsible for business administration and maintaining the office's overall condition, including the optimal use of office equipment, supplies and inventories through preventative maintenance and ordering.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in general accounting principles, including experience with accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite, along with solid Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across finance and non-finance teams.
  • Capability to work in a hybrid environment, maintaining productivity both on-site in Los Angeles, CA and remotely.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience in media, entertainment, or technology sectors is beneficial but not required.
