Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking an Accountant for its Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine. The ideal candidate will handle journal entries, analyze balance sheets, and prepare for year-end audits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain a log of all journal entries and prepare the majority of journal entries in the general ledger.
• Analyze balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
• Calculate and reconcile depreciation of all fixed assets accounts.
• Prepare bank reconciliation on a monthly basis.
• Prepare annual work papers for year-end audits.

Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoastal Maine. Responsibilities

The Accountant is responsible for maintaining a log of all of the journal entries and preparing the majority of the journal entries in the general ledger, analyzing appropriate balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, calculating and reconciling depreciation of all the fixed assets accounts, preparing bank reconciliation on a monthly basis, and preparing annual work papers for year-end audits.
