Job summary

Air Force Civilian Service at Hill AFB, Utah seeks a Non‑Appropriated Fund Financial Analyst (NAFFA) to manage NAF funds, provide in‑depth financial analysis, and ensure proper stewardship per Air Force standards.

Qualifications

In this position you will be a part of the 75th Comptroller Squadron (CPTS) located on Hill AFB, UT. The duties of the Non‑Appropriated Fund Financial Analyst (NAFFA) is responsible for managing, monitoring, providing in‑depth analysis, and ensuring the proper financial stewardship of non‑appropriated funds the 75 Air Base Wing (ABW). You will prepare periodic financial reports and ensure compliance with Air Force accounting standards. Provide financial oversight for the 16 Non‑Appropriated Fund programs such as youth and childcare programs, recreation, and other services. You ensure all NAF activities comply with applicable Air Force financial management policies. Analyze internal controls to prevent misuse, ensure transparency, and identify financial risks to the CPTS Commander. This position is vital to providing the leadership of the 75 CPTS the decision space to advise ABW senior leadership on the financial solvency of the installation's NAF programs.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• A degree in accounting or another related field, such as business administration or finance. Degree must include 24 credit hours of accounting or auditing subjects, or up to 6 credit hours of business law; OR A combination of education and experience, including at least four years of experience in accounting, or an equivalent combination of accounting experience, college‑level education, and training that provides professional accounting knowledge.
• This is a Financial Management Level (1, 2, or 3) Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F‑Financial Management, Section 1599d. Incumbent shall comply with the requirements of this certification program.
• The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty.

• Knowledge and use of automated data processing concepts, systems capabilities, and economic usage to effectively complete assignments.
• Ability to gather, assemble, interpret, and analyze budget, accounting and related financial reports.
• Ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines.
