Army NAF at Fort Sam Houston, TX seeks a qualified professional to serve as the primary action officer for routine banking transactions, maintain the signature card system, and manage deposit-related duties while resolving customer questions.
The role includes supporting debt collection programs, preparing Statements of Work, coordinating with Treasury Workstations and accounting officers, and assisting with funds transfers and merchant accounts.
Duties
Serves as the primary action officer for all routine banking transactions and associated communications; the maintenance of bank account signature card system; and all aspects of deposit ticket, check stock orders, including monitoring status and assuring payment. Investigates customer service questions and problems.
Investigates and resolves problems and inquiries about delinquencies associated with various collection programs. Acts as liaison for, and once trained, COR for the central debt collection contract. Prepares Statement of Work and is primary action officer for procurement of comprehensive Commercial debt collection services for entire Army NAF.
Accesses and maintains transaction information files, processing reports, and the distribution of information to clients. Reviews and or prepares all routine correspondence with delinquent persons. Performs extensive interaction with accounting officers, employees of contract banks, field NAF fund managers, and individuals with delinquent accounts.
Assists in adding new users in the ABIF Treasury Workstation.
Assists in creating funds transfer models.
Assists with transactions assignment rules. Assists with Merchant accounts strictly related to new TDs establishment or changes to current TDs, and any funding issues/file issues.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements Conditions of employment
Qualifications RESUMES MUST BE TWO PAGES (OR LESS). QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience performing duties of a financial nature that included working with spreadsheets, electronic databases, and using word processing.
All Qualified applicants will be rated against the highly qualifying criteria by a rating panel for evaluation of the quality and extent of your total accomplishments, experience and education. Those applicants determined to be highly qualified will be referred to the hiring official for consideration. The highly qualified candidates may undergo an interview and reference checks. Highly Qualifying Criteria 3 or more years experience in banking, cash management or financial management
Working knowledge of NAF Financial Management
Working experience with Treasury Workstations
