Job summary

Outova is seeking an Accountant to support daily accounting operations at our Keller, TX location. The role involves reconciliations, general ledger work, payroll entries, tax filings, and audits.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and 2+ years of accounting experience, with strong Excel and QuickBooks skills. HRIS experience (UKG) preferred; attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (preferably QuickBooks).
  • HRIS system experience (preferably UKG).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting procedures.
  • Accuracy & Attention to Detail – Ensures data integrity and error-free records.
  • Problem-Solving – Identifies issues in financial records and proposes resolutions.
  • Communication – Clearly conveys financial information to non-financial staff.
  • Team Player – Works collaboratively across departments and takes initiative.
  • Adaptability – Comfortable with shifting priorities and new tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and gross margin schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.
  • Support payroll processing and ensure accurate recording of payroll entries.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, sales tax reports, and other regulatory filings as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency in financial operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Position Overview:

The Accountant will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, reconciling accounts, assisting with special projects, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:
