A leading talent management company in the United States is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a 2-month remote contract. The role involves preparing journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and managing month-end close activities, requiring a Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of accounting experience.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to support our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and managing month-end close activities. Experience with billing/invoicing and working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
Perform monthly account reconciliations and maintain accurate GL accounts.
Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
Prepare financial reports including balance sheet account reconciliations, expense analysis, and cash balance reporting.
Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) sub-ledger reconciliations.
Conduct trend analysis and generate special financial reports as required.
Review customer contracts and assist with billing activities when needed.
Maintain and reconcile depreciation records and bank statements.
Coordinate accounting matters with regional accounting, divisional teams, and other departments.
Generate ad hoc reports and support audits or internal reviews.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2+ years of accounting experience.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and journal entry preparation.
Hands-on experience with general ledger systems and month-end processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Experience with SAP or other ERP/accounting software packages.
Prior experience with billing and invoicing processes.
Familiarity with customer contracts and revenue recognition practices.
