Job summary

HRS Hospitality & Retail Systems is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support financial operations across the DACH region. This role involves managing accounting tasks, accounts receivable, and general ledger, with clear opportunities for professional growth and responsibility in the finance function.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounting tasks independently.
• Manage accounts receivable, payable, and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Execute travel expenses and take over payments.
• Communicate with state administration.
• Perform payroll accounting.
• Create and evaluate financial analysis.

Skills

Work experience in finance and accounting

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support our financial operations across the DACH region and ensure accurate reporting across the business. This role plays a key part in month-end close, reconciliations, and compliance, while working closely with senior finance roles. The position offers strong scope for professional development, increased responsibility, and long-term progression within the finance function as the business continues to grow.

Key responsibilities:

• Participation on handling of accounting tasks. Independent handling of accounting tasks
• Accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger
• Execution of travel expenses
• Takeover of payments
• Preparation of Value added tax returns
• Participation in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Processing of payment transactions and receivables management.
• Communication with the state administration
• Creation and evaluation of financial analysis
• Payroll accounting
• Moving to new ERP system and input of documents will be valued positively

What We’re Looking For:

• Work experience in finance and accounting
• Good knowledge of using ERP Systems is preferable
• Very good knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel
• Strong affinity for numbers as well as analytical ability
• Independent, goal-oriented way of working
• Willing to learn and grow within the company
• Experience in accounting for hotels or restaurants
• Partly qualified or qualified
