Job summary

Golden Aluminum, a Fort Lupton-based aluminum rolling mill, is seeking an experienced Accountant to ensure accurate financial records. Responsibilities include cash management, GL, payroll support, and financial reporting.

The role supports month-end/year-end closes, tax returns, and audits, with a focus on process improvements. The position requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, 3–5 years in accounting (manufacturing a plus), and strong Excel/NetSuite skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• 3–5 years NetSuite experience preferred.
• Strong Excel, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily bank reconciliations.
• Forecast daily cash requirements and request bank disbursements.
• Prepare and submit weekly Borrowing Base Certificate (BBC).
• Monitor daily cash activity and banking relationships.
• Apply customer payments accurately and timely.
• Reconcile customer deposits and cash receipts.
• Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare Colorado use tax return.

Salary range: $75,000 to $90,000 (Dependent on Qualifications)

Job Summary:

This position reports to the Controller and is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of the Company's financial records through cash management, cash application, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, payroll support, and financial reporting. This role is a key contributor to the monthly and year-end close processes, treasury management, and the timely preparation of accurate financial information that supports business decision-making. Key responsibilities include:

• · Maintain daily bank reconciliations.
• · Forecast daily cash requirements and request bank disbursements.
• · Prepare and submit the weekly Borrowing Base Certificate (BBC).
• · Monitor daily cash activity and maintain banking relationships.
• · Apply customer payments accurately and timely.
• · Research and resolve unapplied cash.
• · Reconcile customer deposits and cash receipts.
• · Assist with customer account reconciliations.
• · Customer Invoicing.
• · Prepare journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• · Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• · Prepare the monthly Colorado use tax return.
• · Support payroll processing and payroll reconciliations.
• · Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation.
• · Prepare schedules for internal and external audits.
• · Analyze financial transactions and recommend process improvements.
• · Document accounting procedures and strengthen internal controls.
• · Cross-train within the Accounting Department.
• · Provide backup support to Accounts Payable during vacations, absences, and peak workloads.
• · Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.

Requirements

• · Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• · 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• · Manufacturing experience preferred.
• · 3-5 years NetSuite experience preferred.
• · Strong Excel, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• · Excellent communication and organizational skills.
