Job summary

Golden Aluminum in Fort Lupton, Colorado, is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to ensure accuracy of financial records, manage cash, lead the monthly close, and support treasury activities in a manufacturing setting.

Reporting to the Controller, you will handle bank reconciliations, cash forecasting, BBC preparation, accounts receivable/payable backup, journal entries, and compliance tasks while strengthening internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years accounting experience, manufacturing experience preferred.
• 3–5 years NetSuite experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily bank reconciliations.
• Forecast daily cash requirements and request bank disbursements.
• Prepare and submit the weekly Borrowing Base Certificate (BBC).
• Monitor daily cash activity and maintain banking relationships.
• Apply customer payments accurately and timely.
• Research and resolve unapplied cash.
• Reconcile customer deposits and cash receipts.
• Assist with customer account reconciliations.
• Customer invoicing.
• Prepare journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare the monthly Colorado use tax return.
• Support payroll processing and payroll reconciliations.
• Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Prepare schedules for internal and external audits.
• Analyze financial transactions and recommend process improvements.
• Document accounting procedures and strengthen internal controls.
• Cross-train within the Accounting Department.
• Provide backup support to Accounts Payable during vacations, absences, and peak workloads.
• Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.

Salary range: $75,000 to $90,000 (Dependent on Qualifications)

Job Summary:

This position reports to the Controller and is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of the Company's financial records through cash management, cash application, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, payroll support, and financial reporting.
