Job summary

Assetliving is seeking a Property Accountant based in Dallas, Texas. This role involves managing a portfolio of 5-10 properties and handling all aspects of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and possess strong analytical, reasoning, and communication skills.

The Property Accountant will prepare monthly financial reports, analyze expenses, and perform general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring compliance with established policies and controls. This position does not require travel.

Qualifications

Accountant

Property Accountant will be responsible for a portfolio of approximately 5-10 properties. The Property Accountant will be responsible for all aspects of financial reporting for the assets.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports and bank reconciliations in accordance with owner deadlines/requirements while adhering to policies and procedures and maintaining adequate internal controls
• Perform cash management functions, initiate and post journal entries, and research and resolve issues as needed
• Analyze expenses and prepare accruals based on budget
• Review accounts payable activity & cash balances and select invoices for payment
• Perform monthly general ledger account analysis and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Prepare audit-related requests and other duties as assigned
• Travel Requirement: This position does not require travel.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree. Preference in Accounting or Finance
