Property Accountant

Property Accountant Duties:

• Facilitate financial data to assist in property level tax returns.
• Complete the monthly financial reporting according to company's requirements.
• Review & maintain General Ledger for properties.
• Prepare financial statements.
• Bank Reconciliations and lender management.
• Account Reconciliations.
• Facilitate property level accruals and work alongside PM/AM team to complete and submit.
• Property Bill Backs.
• Review and post monthly tenant billings.
• Review and process accounts payables.
• Calculate and provide management fees to corporate accounting team.
• Track capital expenditures.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive financial reporting packages to ownership/partnership, including detailed analysis and the ability to review and discuss month-over-month, quarter-over-quarter, and year-over-year variances.

Property Accountant Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2+ years commercial real estate accounting experience.
• 1+ years of institutional commercial real estate experience.
• Knowledge of accrual-based accounting principles.
• CAM reconciliations, operating expense budgeting and investor-level reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365; Yardi Voyager/elevate; Claude, Expensify.
