Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and general ledger adjustments.
• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Review and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable activity.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
• Support external auditors, tax preparers, and financial reporting requirements.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciling items.

• Primary Job Responsibilities
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and general ledger adjustments
• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
• Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations
• Experience supporting month-end close activities
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial analysis functions
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional services, architecture, engineering, construction, consulting, or project-based accounting experience preferred
• Experience with ERP or accounting software systems preferred
• Experience preparing financial reports and supporting audits preferred
• Knowledge of project accounting or job costing principles preferred
