Ringside Talent is seeking an organized accountant to support core accounting activities from home in a remote role based in Columbus, OH. The position touches many parts of accounting and provides opportunities to build skills across close, reconciliations, and reporting.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and solid Excel skills. You will work independently and communicate clearly in a remote setting, with no daily commute.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience).
• 1–3 years of accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
• Experience with accounting software and solid Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and dependable follow-through.
• Comfortable working independently and communicating clearly in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Record and review general ledger entries, including accruals and adjustments.
• Complete account reconciliations and investigate differences.
• Support the monthly close by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
• Assist with financial statement preparation and basic variance analysis.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, or bank reconciliation tasks as needed.
• Respond to internal questions and requests from other departments.
• Help prepare for audits and tax filings by assembling requested records.
• Follow and improve documented accounting procedures.
