Job summary

ElementUSA is looking for an Accountant to join their finance team at the Critical Resource Accelerator in Cedar Park, Texas. The role involves managing daily accounting operations and offers a clear growth trajectory towards Senior Accountant.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting with strong knowledge of AP, AR, and general ledger functions.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and GAAP.
  • CPA preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

  • Record financial transactions accurately and efficiently using QuickBooks.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjusting entries.
  • Assist with the preparation of accurate financial reports and statements.

ElementUSA is advancing how the world recovers and refines critical minerals, transforming industrial residues into valuable resources, accelerating America’s access to critical minerals.

We’re seeking an Accountant to join our finance team at the Critical Resource Accelerator. This role will support the day-to-day accounting operations of a fast-growing, mission-driven organization focused on sustainable mineral recovery and process development. This is a high-impact role with a clear growth trajectory to Senior Accountant as our team and operations expand.

What You’ll Do
  • Record financial transactions accurately and efficiently using QuickBooks.
  • Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including invoice processing, vendor payments, customer invoicing, and collections.
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjusting entries.
Financial Support and Reporting
  • Assist with the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports and statements.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records in compliance with company policies.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Collaboration and Compliance
  • Work closely with the Controller and operations team to provide financial data and insights that support decision-making and process optimization.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with audit preparation and documentation as needed.
Data Management and Process Improvement
  • Maintain accurate data recording and reporting systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of finance policies and procedures.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and/or NetSuite is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, with strong hands-on knowledge of AP, AR, and general ledger functions.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and GAAP.
  • CPA preferred, not required.
  • Advanced Excel skills and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
