We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of Element’s financial statements. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who is passionate about contributing to the success of a future, world-class finance organization. We are looking for candidates with a solid background in a wide range of accounting topics who can grow and assume new responsibilities as the company evolves. Experience working in a public accounting firm or a publicly traded company is highly desired. This role will report to the Director of Accounting and will be an on-site/San Diego based role.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Support the establishment and enhancement of a strong internal control environment
Own the accounting process over key balance sheet and income statement accounts
Effectively interact with third-party providers to ensure the proper accounting for areas such as indirect taxes
Support and/or perform the processing of certain indirect tax filings
Identify, provide input to and/or support improvements to systems and processes to drive efficiency and enhance effectiveness

Education And Experience

Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline with a minimum of 2 to 5 years of broad, progressive accounting experience
A CPA designation is preferred but not required
Experience with the preparation of financial statements in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment preferred
NetSuite proficiency preferred
Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders
A passion for teamwork and continuous improvement

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and/or stand at a work station for long periods of time
Ability to move objects weighing up to 20 pounds

Base Compensation Pay Range

$97,000 - $118,000

In addition to base compensation noted above, you will be eligible for stock options, discretionary annual bonus, no cost health insurance plans, 401k with company match, and flexible paid time off.

Please note: Base compensation will depend on multiple factors, including geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
