Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Accountant for a 1‑year contract (W‑2). You will prepare schedules and journal entries for multiple agencies and states, and report to the onsite Manager.

Responsibilities include monthly state and federal reporting for GLO, LDNR, ONRR, CLO and OCC, as well as Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma severance tax filings. ERP tax rate maintenance and owner payments support are also required.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year accounting degree and 15+ years of experience.
• Experience preparing schedules and journal entries.
• Experience maintaining tax rates and ERP setups.

• Prepare severance tax filings for the following states: Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma.
• Maintain tax rates and new setups within ERP.
• Record severance tax reimbursements related to marketing fee adjustments.

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $53.00/hr to $58.00/hr.
