Opportunity Overview

Accountant position based in Houston, TX. This is a 1‑year contract assignment (W‑2). Prepare schedules and journal entries for different agencies and states. You will report to the onsite Manager.

Your Day‑to‑Day

Prepare schedules and journal entries.

Prepare monthly state and federal reports for the following agencies:

• General Land Office (GLO)
• Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (LDNR)
• Office of Natural Resources Revenue (ONRR)
• Commissioner of Land Office (CLO)
• Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC)

Severance Tax Filings For The Following States

• Texas
• Louisiana
• Oklahoma

Maintain tax rates and new setups within ERP.

• Record severance tax reimbursements related to marketing fee adjustments.
• Calculate and process owner interest payments.
• Assist with owner inquiries.
• Develop cross‑departmental relationships to ensure information flow.

Who You Are

• Must have a 4‑year Accounting degree.
• Must have at least 15 years of experience.
• Experience preparing schedules and journal entries.
• Experience maintaining tax rates and new setups within ERP.

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $53.00/hr. to $58.00/hr.
