Accountant (Contract-to-Hire) | Multi-Entity Close | NetSuite Highly Preferred | HOA / Property Accounting Preferred

Pay (hourly): $48–$60/hr (annualized equivalent: ~$100,000–$125,000)

Bell & Associates, Inc. has been engaged to identify an Accountant (Contract-to-Hire) for a stable organization supporting multiple entities. This role is a strong fit for someone coming from an HOA accounting, property accounting, real estate, trust, or fund-style environment—any background where you’re used to juggling multiple sets of books, cash activity, and recurring close cycles. NetSuite proficiency is highly preferred.

What you’ll do

• Own the monthly close for assigned entities: bank reconciliations, journal entries, and monthly financial statement preparation
• Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities
• Track daily cash activity, research variances, and resolve banking issues quickly and accurately
• Support regulatory filings as needed and assist with related reporting requirements
• Partner with external auditors: prepare audit workpapers and respond to PBC requests for assigned areas
• Provide backup and cross-coverage for members of the Accounting team
• Take on additional projects aligned to Controller/CFO priorities

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of accounting experience with full-cycle close ownership
• HOA / property / real estate accounting or similar multi-entity environment strongly preferred
• NetSuite proficiency highly preferred
• Experience preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and basic financial analysis
• Comfortable working directly with external auditors and producing clean, well-supported audit documentation
• Strong organization and time-management skills—able to manage priorities across multiple deadlines/entities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Professional, service-oriented communicator (internal stakeholders; may interact with community contacts)

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred (or equivalent experience)
