Job summary

CFS in Bedford, Ohio is seeking an Accountant to join a stable, hands-on accounting team. You will take ownership of daily accounting tasks in a collaborative, growth-minded environment.

Responsibilities include AP/AR, bank deposits, invoicing, and vendor matching, with close communication to leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate records and timely financial reporting. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys variety and wants to contribute to a smaller team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; accounting coursework or degree is a plus.
• Previous bookkeeping, AP/AR, accounting assistant, or similar experience preferred.
• Comfortable with ERP systems and learning new software quickly.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.

• Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including researching and resolving discrepancies.
• Record customer deposits and accurately apply payments to customer accounts.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and communicate with customers regarding past-due balances.
• Match vendor invoices to purchase orders and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
• Process payments and maintain organized electronic and physical accounting records.
• Prepare and provide customer invoices as needed.
