Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions in Beaverton, OR is seeking an Accountant to join its accounting team on-site. The role reports to the Controller and supports general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and SOX compliance.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, ERP experience, and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs). Public company exposure and construction industry background are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of accounting or financial management experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
• Experience with ERP systems required
• Public company reporting and SOX exposure preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries and maintain the general ledger
• Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Perform account analysis, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Assist with financial statement preparation and management reporting
• Perform monthly variance analysis and reporting
• Support SEC reporting activities, including 10-Q and 10-K preparation
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX requirements, and internal controls
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives
• Participate in accounting system enhancements and process improvement projects
• Complete special projects and additional accounting duties as assigned

This position reports directly to the Controller and offers the opportunity to contribute across general ledger accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives.
