Qualifications

• Qualified accounting professional with AAT, ACCA, ACA or equivalent.
• Experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Proficient with accounting software and Excel; ERP experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger, journals, and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, annual financial statements.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team at our Orchard Central Region office on a full-time basis. This role is fundamental to maintaining the financial health and compliance of AURUMSTONE NETWORK TECHNOLOGY. As an Accountant, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing accounting operations, and supporting strategic financial decision-making across the organisation. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team whilst developing your expertise in financial accounting and reporting within a growing technology company.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including general ledger accounts, journals, and reconciliations
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and resolution of queries
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards
• Performing bank reconciliations and cash management activities to ensure financial accuracy
• Supporting the audit process by compiling documentation and providing required financial information to auditors
• Identifying and investigating discrepancies in financial records and implementing corrective actions
• Assisting with the preparation of tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax regulations
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures
• Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required

What we're looking for

• A relevant professional accounting qualification, such as AAT, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent recognised qualification
• Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting, ideally within a corporate or technology environment
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is advantageous
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial statement preparation, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the capability to prioritise workload effectively
• Clear communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to explain financial information to stakeholders
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional accounting standards and ethics
