Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a closely related field.
  • Experience: 5 to 10 years in public relations or strategic communications, preferably in an agency.
  • Industry: Commercial insurance, financial services or professional services.
  • Communication skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, ability to write clean PR materials and present persuasively.
  • Organizational ability: Excellent project management, organization, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Position Overview

Account Supervisor is a key leadership role at Stretch PR. We are seeking a passionate, strategic and highly experienced practitioner who can act as both an indispensable consultant to our clients and a collaborative mentor to our internal teams. In this role, you will be a main driver of client business, leading the strategic planning process, managing execution, supervising team members and ensuring exceptional work quality that consistently beats client expectations.

Core Strategic Pillars of Responsibility
Strategic Communications

Strategic Counsel: Lead communications strategy and campaign planning for clients, translating business objectives into impactful, creative PR strategies.

Execution Design: Establish comprehensive PR blueprints, putting the right strategic plans and timelines in place to ensure seamless agency delivery.

Program Delivery: Execute communications programs, adjusting strategy dynamically to maximize performance and guarantee client success.

Media Relations, Content Marketing and Storytelling

Media Campaigns: Lead high-impact earned and paid media relations efforts, developing strong media angles and consistently securing top-tier coverage.

Content Creation: Develop compelling and persuasive written materials, including press releases, customized media pitches, guest columns and executive bylined articles.

Thought Leadership: Produce authoritative thought leadership campaigns, including research, executive copywriting and creative content assets (graphics, videos) that raise client visibility.

Social Strategy: Guide social media programs, directing content development, editorial calendar planning and aesthetic design across client social channels.

Client Partnership and Account Management

Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted primary point of contact for clients, building deep partnerships, managing expectations and maintaining strong alignment.

Client Meetings: Lead professional client calls, strategic business reviews and account meetings with polished presentation and communications skills.

Account Health: Manage accounts and agency resources effectively, ensuring work is delivered on time, within scope and aligned with agreed budgets.

Performance Measurement, Reporting and Insights

Media Monitoring: Supervise rigorous media monitoring and industry trend tracking, extracting timely, actionable insights to deliver strategic value to clients.

Performance Reporting: Prepare and structure comprehensive, professional performance reports that measure campaign success against established key performance indicators.

Data-Driven Insights: Analyze performance metrics to provide clients with strategic, data-driven recommendations for continuous campaign optimization.

Team Leadership and Program Support

Mentorship and Guidance: Guide, coach and inspire junior team members, fostering a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Program Support: Ensure thorough research and robust program planning support is provided for all ongoing client campaigns.

Media Relations (Earned and Paid): Deep understanding of the modern media landscape, with proven capability to secure marquee coverage and direct paid media campaigns.

Content and Copywriting: Outstanding ability to craft high-level thought leadership, write executive copy and design multi-format content programs.

Ideation and Creative Strategy: A track record of thinking creatively, brainstorming breakthrough ideas and turning concept pitches into major campaigns.

Project Management: Highly disciplined organizational and multitasking skills to manage complex timelines, budgets, and staff allocation.

Client Relations and Communication: Highly polished verbal and written communication style, with the confidence to advise senior client executives.

Execution and Measurement: Strong capability to deliver high-quality execution and use data analytics to measure and report impact.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a closely related academic field.

Experience: 5 to 10 years of professional experience in public relations or strategic communications, with a strong preference for an agency environment.

Industry: Commercial insurance, financial services or professional services

Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clean, publication-ready PR materials and present persuasively to clients.

Organizational Ability: Exceptional project management, organization, and multitasking capabilities with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
