Join Our Team! Account Supervisor – Chesapeake Treasurer’s Office
Are you an experienced accounting professional ready to lead with purpose? The Chesapeake Treasurer’s Office is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Account Supervisor to oversee our accounting activities and support the financial operations that keep our city running smoothly.
What You’ll Do:
VOCATIONAL / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT : Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate’s degree in accounting or a closely related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT : In addition to satisfying the vocational/educational standard, this class requires a minimum of two years of related, full-time equivalent experience.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES : Depending on operational needs, may require a valid driver’s license and a driving record in compliance with the City’s Driving Standards.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS : Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies. Emergency operations support work and work locations may be outside of normal job duties.
Preferred Qualifications
Treasurer’s office experience, subledger and balance sheet account reconciliations preferred experience.
