Job summary

WTW is seeking an Account Specialist to support the client management team in delivering healthcare and group benefits solutions. The role collaborates with Account Managers, Account Executives and Producers to meet client needs while maintaining top-tier customer service, in a hybrid environment with periodic office meetings in Colorado.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of professional experience, ideally in health insurance.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office products, especially Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Home office space with high-speed internet.
  • Leadership – applies judgement, motivates other individuals, promotes teamwork.
  • Relationship Management and customer focus – collaborates to serve clients and help resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to effectively engage with carriers and clients to maintain renewal terms and existing business.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus).
  • Problem solving abilities, including critical thinking and adaptability.
  • Project management skills, including attention to detail, organizational skills, prioritization and time management.
  • Must successfully complete appropriate licensing exam(s) and/or maintain required licensing by completing various Continuing Education activities as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist colleagues in the management of the annual lifecycle of employee benefits for clients.
  • Work with the Account Managers, Account Executives and Producers to meet client needs, including strategy review of benefit options and addressing escalated member benefit issues.
  • Work with vendors to solve employer and employee benefits issues.
  • Organize and participate in employee meetings (open enrollment, benefits fairs, etc.).
  • Assist with RFPs for clients and help new clients through onboarding.
  • Assist colleagues with maintaining clients’ insurance policies and ensure compliance processes are followed.

Job description

The Account Specialist plays a critical role within and in support of the client management team, which provides healthcare and group benefits solutions encompassing plan design, vendor evaluation and management, as well as conducting benefits meetings for our clients’ employees. The colleague collaborates with Account Managers, Account Executives and Producers to meet client needs while maintaining top-tier customer service. Career growth opportunities exist within the team while working in a hybrid environment (mostly work from home with periodic meetings in the office and with clients around Colorado).

The Role

Assist colleagues in the management of the annual lifecycle of employee benefits for clients

Work with the Account Managers, Account Executives and Producers to meet client needs, including:

Strategy: reviewing clients’ benefit options

Address escalated member benefit issues

Work with vendors to solve employer and employee benefits issues

Organize and participate in employee meetings (open enrollment, benefits fairs, etc.)

Assist with RFPs for clients

Help new clients through the onboarding process

Assist colleagues with maintaining clients’ insurance policies

Ensure the internal compliance process is being followed and documented

The Requirements

2-5 years of professional experience, ideally in health insurance

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation.

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $65,000-$75,000 USD per year.

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus
