Job summary

First Search Inc. in the Chicago area is seeking a licensed Employee Benefits Account Manager to service group benefits accounts and support clients with health and life insurance needs.

The role requires strong organization, client service, and the ability to coordinate with carriers, TPAs, and vendors to ensure accurate plan administration, renewals, and timely communications. Hybrid work model with benefits such as PTO, retirement plan, and comprehensive coverage.

Qualifications

• Active Life & Health Insurance license required.
• 1+ years of experience in an employee benefits account management or servicing role.
• Strong knowledge of group benefits products (medical, dental, vision, life, disability).
• Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; HubSpot CRM experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day servicing of assigned employee benefits accounts, including renewals, enrollments, terminations, and plan administration.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients, building relationships with employers, carriers, and internal teams.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of plan documents and required updates.
• Coordinate with carriers and TPAs to resolve issues and ensure smooth policy issuance and renewals.
• Partner with vendors to resolve billing issues and guide employees through claims inquiries.
• Maintain accurate client records in the agency management system.
• Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes in employee benefits.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a licensed and experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to join a growing benefits team. This individual will be responsible for servicing group benefits accounts and supporting clients with their health and life insurance needs. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering a high level of client service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day servicing of assigned employee benefits accounts, including renewals, enrollments, terminations, and ongoing plan administration
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships with employers, carriers, and internal teams
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of plan documents, communications, and required updates
• Coordinate with multiple insurance carriers and third-party administrators (TPAs) to resolve issues and ensure smooth policy issuance and renewals
• Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve billing issues and guide employees through claims-related inquiries
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date account and client records within the agency management system
• Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and employee benefits product offerings
