Job summary

Leggett & Platt is seeking Sales Representatives based out of Tupelo, Mississippi (or nearby) to support our Home Furniture Components business. You will call on upholstery manufacturers, service accounts, and work with sales, manufacturing and R&D teams to drive growth and respond to customer needs.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of outside B2B sales in home furnishings, a proven ability to win new business, and a strong track record of crafting business-focused messages and strategies to

Qualifications

• 8+ years outside sales experience, preferably in the Home Furnishings industry, in B2B manufacturing sales
• Ability to retain current customer business & strategically target and win new business
• Deep understanding of consumer-driven end markets (preferably in the Home markets)
• Ability to craft appropriate business-focused messages to & from the customer
• Proven track record of creating and implementing effective sales strategies to achieve profitable growth objective
• Experience driving continuous improvement with a sales function

Responsibilities

• Call on and service upholstery manufacturers that use Leggett & Platt furniture components – region-specific
• Meet and exceed sales goals and grow market share
• Develop profitable new business and grow sales in existing assigned accounts
• Partner with the sales/ manufacturing/ customer service teams to respond to customer needs, monitor accounts, and build strong customer relations
• Assist in the development of new products/ effective liaison with customers, development teams, and Leggett R&D
• Market and roll out new products to customers

So, what will you do as a Sales Representative?

• Call on and service upholstery manufacturers that use Leggett & Platt furniture components – region-specific
