Job description

I'm hiring an

Account Operations Manager
Who You’ll Be Working With

I'm hiring an Account Operations Manager. Before youread the bullet points, I want to tell you a little about who we are, becausethat matters more than the job description ever will.

About Us

We run facilities management for a client who, refreshingly, treats us like partners rather than vendors. That changeseverything about the day-to-day. We're not managing a transaction. We're partof their team, and they're part of ours.
The work is real estate, which means the buildings operatearound the clock and anything can happen at any hour. We take that seriouslywithout letting it run our lives. Work-life balance is a real thing here, not aline on a careers page. We're also honest that when something breaks at aninconvenient time, someone has to care enough to handle it. The trick, andwe've mostly figured it out, is that nobody carries that alone. We back eachother up. That's the culture, and we're protective of it.
Our technicians and staff take real pride in their work. They care about the buildings, and they care about the people in them. We'renot saving lives, and we know that, but we like to think that when the realestate quietly supports the work someone's trying to do, we've made their day alittle better. That's enough of a reason to do this well.

The Role

This is an opportunity for someone who has built a solidfoundation in facilities management, operations, propertymanagement, workplaceservices, or a related field and is ready to take the next step in theircareer.
We believe strong operations leaders are developed, notsimply hired. While we're looking for someone with relevant experience, we'reequally interested in finding someone with the ambition, curiosity, and driveto grow into larger leadership responsibilities over time.
You'll own our work order technology platform, the systemthat keeps everything moving. You'll ensure operational data is accurate, workflows are efficient, and the team has the information they need to succeed. As you grow in the role, you'll have opportunities to identify processimprovements and help shape how we work.
You'll oversee our preventative maintenance program, partnering with site teams, technicians, and vendors to make sure criticalbuilding systems receive the attention they need before problems becomedisruptions. The person who does this well has a tremendous impact onoperational performance, even if they don't always get the credit.
You'll support sourcing, procurement, and vendor managementactivities. You'll help evaluate service providers, manage contracts, monitorperformance, and build relationships that ensure our vendors deliver on theircommitments. Over time, you'll gain increasing exposure to strategic vendor andbudget management decisions.
You'll help drive our Health, Safety, and Environmental(HSE) program. Safety isn't a box we check—it's part of how we operate. You'llsupport compliance efforts, coordinate key initiatives, and help maintain aculture where people go home the same way they came to work.
You'll own KPI governance and reporting, helping usunderstand what's working, what's not, and where we can improve. You'll learnhow operational metrics support decision-making and help tell the story of ourperformance to both leadership and our client.
You'll also help us evaluate emerging technologies, including AI, automation, and smart building solutions that are changing thefuture of facilities management. You don't need to be an expert, but we do wantsomeone who is curious, willing to learn, and interested in where the industryis headed.
Most importantly, you'll work closely with experiencedleaders who will invest in your development. This role is intended for someonewho wants to grow into broader operational leadership over time and is excitedby the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility.

Who You Probably Are

You have experience in facilities management, propertyoperations, workplace services, maintenance planning, project coordination, building engineering support, or another operationally focused role.
You're looking for more than your next job. You're lookingfor an opportunity to broaden your experience, expand your responsibilities, and continue developing as a facilities management professional.
You understand the fundamentals of operations and know howto build relationships with technicians, vendors, clients, and stakeholders. You may not have done everything listed in this posting before, but you'reconfident in your ability to learn quickly and take on new challenges.
You're comfortable working with systems, data, andreporting, but you also understand that facilities management is ultimately apeople business. You communicate well, stay organized under pressure, and takeownership of your work.
You notice the small things before they become bigproblems. You're accountable, dependable, and willing to roll up your sleeveswhen the situation calls for it.
Most importantly, you're curious. You ask questions, seekfeedback, and look for opportunities to improve. You want to be part of a teamthat develops its people and values long-term growth.

One Honest Note

Buildings don't keep office hours, and neither, once in awhile, does the work. We won't pretend otherwise.
But we've built a team that shares the load and a clientrelationship that makes it worth carrying. We support each other, we trust eachother, and we genuinely enjoy working together.
If you're looking for an opportunity to build on yourfacilities management experience, develop your leadership skills, and take the next step toward a senior operations role, we'd love to hear from you.
