Qualifications

Account Manager, Transplant Diagnostics - Western US /Canada

This commercial role supports the Transplant Diagnostics Division within the Specialty Diagnostics Group at Thermo Fisher Scientific. We are dedicated to advancing transplant diagnostics and improving patient outcomes to fulfill our mission of making the world cleaner, healthier, safer.

Location

Remote, based in CA, CO, WA, MN, or Western Canada.

Role Impact

The Account Manager will expand the Transplant Diagnostics business within existing and new accounts in the assigned geography. Responsibilities include driving sales opportunities from demand creation to closure and implementation, aiming to surpass revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop demand and promote adoption of assays and instruments in current and prospective accounts.
  2. Lead strategic planning for all territory accounts to achieve financial goals.
  3. Collaborate with technical sales support and field specialists to increase sales and loyalty.
  4. Communicate the value of products, services, and support to decision-makers and stakeholders.
  5. Maintain positive relationships across departments within client organizations.
  6. Identify and develop new customer opportunities to build a future sales pipeline.
  7. Manage the sales process from lead qualification to closing and implementation.
  8. Navigate complex customer situations by proposing and executing tailored solutions.
  9. Coordinate all communication between the customer and Thermo Fisher personnel to ensure customer satisfaction.
  10. Collaborate internally to enhance customer experience.
  11. Handle territory management and administrative duties effectively.
  12. Maintain accurate pipeline data to forecast and surpass regional sales goals.
  13. Complete all required training on time.
  14. Uphold company values, demonstrate integrity, and foster a positive internal and external environment.
  15. Travel for customer meetings, conferences, and workshops.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biological or Chemical Sciences.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an HLA or Molecular Laboratory OR related sales experience.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong customer relationship and sales skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Data-driven with analytical skills to identify sales opportunities.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and willing to travel.
  • Knowledge of transplant diagnostics market and customer workflows.
  • Experience with large account management and demand creation for innovative tech is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce CRM.

Compensation

Estimated salary range for Colorado: $80,000–$115,000.
