Job summary

Pacific Landscape seeks an Account Manager Trainee to build foundational skills in account management, operations, and client relations. You will shadow seasoned managers, learn service delivery standards, and support client communications.

The role emphasizes relationship building, business development, and collaboration with field and account teams. A degree in horticulture, landscape management, business, or related field is preferred, with internship or related experience a plus.

• Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply; internship or related experience is a plus.
• Interest in landscape management, customer service, and business development.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured training focused on account management, operations, and client relations.
• Shadow Account Managers and Field Managers to gain knowledge of service delivery and client expectations.
• Learn company systems, processes, and service standards.
• Assist in maintaining client relationships and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Support communication with clients regarding service updates and issue resolution.
• Help track and follow up on client requests and concerns.
• Identify potential landscape enhancement opportunities and support proposals and documentation.
• Learn the sales process and contribute to team goals.
• Work with Field Manager and Account Manager to understand site conditions and service needs.
• Attend onsite meetings with Account Managers to observe client interactions.
• Maintain accurate records of client communications and activity in CRM systems.
• Review property budgets and service plans; assist with pricing updates and client approvals.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Development

• Participate in structured training focused on account management, operations, and client relations

• Shadow Account Managers and Field Managers to gain knowledge of service delivery and client expectations

• Learn company systems, processes, and service standards

Customer Retention & Support

• Assist in maintaining client relationships and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction

• Support communication with clients regarding service updates and issue resolution

• Help track and follow up on client requests and concerns

Enhancement Sales Support

• Assist in identifying potential landscape enhancement opportunities

• Support the preparation of proposals and documentation

• Learn the sales process and contribute to achieving team goals

Collaboration

• Work closely with the Field Manager and Account Manager to understand site conditions and service needs

• Participate in property visits and inspections to ensure quality standards are met

• Support coordination to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled

Customer Interaction

• Attend onsite meetings with Account Managers to observe client interactions

• Maintain accurate records of client communications and activity in CRM systems

Budget & Pricing Support

• Assist in reviewing property budgets and service plans

• Support documentation for pricing updates and client approvals

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking) are required

• Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving abilities

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

• Regular exposure to outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and other environmental elements

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
