Job summary

Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies in Plymouth, MI is seeking an Account Manager to drive all commercial activities for assigned accounts. You will lead new business, pricing, and service improvements to maximize customer satisfaction, while building strong client relationships and communicating technical product details.

The role requires 5–10 years in automotive Tier accounts, a hunter mentality, and the ability to travel to production sites and customers as needed.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of automotive Tiers Account Management experience.
• Willingness to travel to FNST production sites and customers as required.
• Engineering experience with automotive seals, polymers, or EV systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead all commercial activities within assigned accounts, including new customer acquisition, pricing strategy, issue resolution, and service improvement to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Build strong relationships across diverse personalities and backgrounds; demonstrate emotional intelligence and conflict resolution.
• Own the customer relationship with minimal supervision, escalating issues when needed and remaining accountable for outcomes.
• Communicate technical product information clearly; apply creativity and problem-solving to overcome challenges.
• Stay resilient through setbacks and support cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
• Develop strategic 5-year plans for key accounts, identifying risks and actionable steps.

Qualifications

• B.S. or B.A degree in Business Management, Engineering (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Manufacturing or equivalent).
• Aggressive self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to details requiring minimal supervision,
• 5 – 10 years automotive Tiers Account Management experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and “hunter” mentality.
• Ability to travel to FNST production sites and customers as required.
• Engineering experience with automotive seals, polymers, and/or electric vehicle systems are a significant plus.
