Job summary

Jobot is seeking an energetic Account Manager to drive new business development and territory growth within the petroleum and energy markets. This role emphasizes prospecting, building new customer relationships, and expanding revenue in both new and existing accounts.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, relationship-oriented sales professional who thrives in a field-based role with approximately 50% travel, including overnight stays.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in B2B sales, account management, territory sales, or business development.
  • Experience within petroleum, fuel, energy, industrial, transportation, or related industries strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to prospect, generate leads, and build relationships with new customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory strategy focused on new customer acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Prospect, identify, and develop relationships with new customers across the petroleum, fuel, and energy markets.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting, cold calling, networking, customer visits, and other business development activities.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and relationship development through negotiation, closing, and implementation.
  • Build relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders within customer organizations.
  • Identify opportunities to expand products and services within existing accounts.
  • Maintain strong relationships with current customers while continuously looking for opportunities for account growth.
  • Conduct regular in-person customer visits, site visits, and sales presentations.
  • Understand customer operations and business needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Prepare proposals, pricing, presentations, and sales forecasts.
  • Maintain accurate customer, prospect, pipeline, and activity information within CRM.
  • Collaborate with internal operations, customer service, and leadership teams to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and industry trends to identify new opportunities.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales, revenue, and business development goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comfortable managing a geographic territory and working independently
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand customer needs and identify revenue opportunities
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel approximately 50%, including overnight travel
