Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Serve as advocate for customer and liaison between Estes offices and customer supply chain teams.
  • Work with Pricing, Time Critical, Payment Services, Sales and Operations to meet revenue goals.
  • Assist with technological improvements to provide faster, lower-cost information.
  • Collaborate with customer teams to identify opportunities to enhance supply chain engagement.
  • May focus on growing Estes Premium Services including Time Critical and Domestic Ocean.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews with customers and develop growth plans.
  • Interact with senior customer management at corporate and field levels.
  • Build sustainable relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Provide supply chain expertise to Customer Management Team.
  • Travel at least 10% to develop and maintain relationships on-site at customer locations.
  • Regular attendance is required and other duties may be assigned.

Job description

Job Summary:

Responsible for the management of customer accounts. Oversee transportation spend and shipments for both inbound and outbound transactions and collaborate with key stakeholders across Estes to resolve customer problems. The successful candidate will interact daily with the senior level logistics and transportation personnel to drive continuous improvement to supply chain practices, cost reductions and customer satisfaction.

  • Serve as advocate for customer and liaison between the Estes corporate office and the customer supply chain team to identify and resolve problems for specific customer. Research and develop ongoing solutions to prevent repeatable problems
  • Work with Estes departments such as Pricing, Time Critical, Payment Services, Sales, Operations and others to ensure Estes’ revenue goals are achieved
  • Assist with creation of technological improvements to allow clients to secure necessary information faster and with less cost
  • Collaborate with customer corporate logistics and transportation teams to identify and communicate opportunities to enhance existing supply chain engagement with Estes
  • May focus on growing Estes Premium Services including Time Critical and Domestic Ocean markets.
  • Partner with customers to conduct and lead quarterly business reviews, analyze goal results and develop plans for account growth and continuous improvements
  • Interact with senior customer management at both the corporate and field Levels
  • Build sustainable relationships with internal and external customers
  • Provide Supply Chain expertise to Customer Management Team
  • Minimum 10% travel to develop and maintain business relationships with various customers on-site at their locations
  • Regular attendance is required.

  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable results and executing strategic and tactical plans to meet operational objectives
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written and listening) and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels, internal and external to Estes
  • Creative problem solver with strong analytical skills and “out of the box” thinking to develop new approaches to solve existing problems
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to perform effectively in a matrix organization
  • Proven project management skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Proficient in software applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Must be able to lift approximately 20 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the job
