Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Proven track record delivering measurable results and executing strategic and tactical plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels, internal and external to Estes.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Ability to lift approximately 20 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the job.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for customers and liaise between Estes corporate office and customer supply chain to resolve problems.
  • Collaborate with Pricing, Time Critical, Payment Services, Sales, Operations and others to meet revenue goals.
  • Assist with development of technological improvements to allow clients to secure information faster and with less cost.
  • Coordinate with customer corporate logistics and transportation teams to enhance supply chain engagement with Estes.
  • May focus on growing Estes Premium Services including Time Critical and Domestic Ocean markets.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews with customers to plan growth and continuous improvements.
  • Interact with senior customer management at corporate and field levels.
  • Build sustainable relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Provide Supply Chain expertise to Customer Management Team.
  • Travel 10% to develop and maintain business relationships with customers on-site.

Job description

Job Summary:

Responsible for the management of customer accounts. Oversee transportation spend and shipments for both inbound and outbound transactions and collaborate with key stakeholders across Estes to resolve customer problems. The successful candidate will interact daily with the senior level logistics and transportation personnel to drive continuous improvement to supply chain practices, cost reductions and customer satisfaction.

  • Serve as advocate for customer and liaison between the Estes corporate office and the customer supply chain team to identify and resolve problems for specific customer. Research and develop ongoing solutions to prevent repeatable problems
  • Work with Estes departments such as Pricing, Time Critical, Payment Services, Sales, Operations and others to ensure Estes’ revenue goals are achieved
  • Assist with creation of technological improvements to allow clients to secure necessary information faster and with less cost
  • Collaborate with customer corporate logistics and transportation teams to identify and communicate opportunities to enhance existing supply chain engagement with Estes
  • May focus on growing Estes Premium Services including Time Critical and Domestic Ocean markets.
  • Partner with customers to conduct and lead quarterly business reviews, analyze goal results and develop plans for account growth and continuous improvements
  • Interact with senior customer management at both the corporate and field Levels
  • Build sustainable relationships with internal and external customers
  • Provide Supply Chain expertise to Customer Management Team
  • Minimum 10% travel to develop and maintain business relationships with various customers on-site at their locations
  • Regular attendance is required.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in logistics or business related fields of discipline, or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
  • Self-directed with the ability to make decisions and achieve strong results with minimum oversight, often in ambiguous situations
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable results and executing strategic and tactical plans to meet operational objectives
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written and listening) and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels, internal and external to Estes
  • Creative problem solver with strong analytical skills and “out of the box” thinking to develop new approaches to solve existing problems
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to perform effectively in a matrix organization
  • Proven project management skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Proficient in software applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Must be able to lift approximately 20 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the job

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check
