Daikin Applied is recruiting a District Operations Manager for Huntsville, AL, onsite. You will supervise service operations, manage projects, quotes, and customer relations while driving growth in a rapidly expanding district.

You’ll lead safety programs, coordinate with Account Managers, and report weekly on status, revenue, and warranties. A strong HVAC background and proven leadership are required for success in this pivotal role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years in commercial HVAC or related field.
• 8+ years leading an industrial HVAC business unit (preferred).
• 4+ years managing technicians or employees in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety programs, site compliance, training, auditing, and reporting.
• Support sales via job quotations, estimates, and feedback on profit risk.
• Approve scope, labor hours, material content; manage costs.
• Establish timelines and communicate project schedules with customers.
• Lead project execution: staffing, ordering equipment, and signoffs.
• Coordinate quotes for call-in work and ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Foster relationships with customers to identify upsell opportunities.
• Ensure maintenance contracts are fulfilled and inspections done on time.
• Support district leadership and drive technician-driven service growth.
• Provide weekly revenue, status, and warranty reports to District Manager.

Location: Huntsville, AL - Onsite

Your Responsibilities:

• Administer safety programs, monitor compliance with job site safety, safety training, safety documentation, auditing, and reporting
• Supports sales through involvement in job quotation and estimation
• Approve estimates for scope of work, labor hours and material content, assess profit risk of jobs, control material and labor costs, and provide feedback to the District Manager
• Establish project timelines and meet with customers to communicate and coordinate project schedule.
• Manage projects, assign personnel, oversee ordering of equipment and material, and assure that proper customer signoffs are secured per corporate policy requirements
• Oversee quotation of call-in work, transactional sales (not requiring SSR skills), and assign personnel as needed to ensure that quotes are delivered to customers on a timely basis
• Provide consistent interface with current customer base and establishes effective working relationships in order to identify additional selling opportunities
• Ensure that maintenance contract commitments are fulfilled and inspections completed on time while providing input to Service Coordinators on scheduling activity of technicians
• Support the district under direction of District Manager
• Work with the technician team to generate pull-through service and repair work on existing house accounts
• Manage Tech Tip program and lead customer care initiatives
• Work with Account Managers and District Manager in order to resolve customer issues, including customer visits
• Provide weekly job status, revenue, and warranty recovery report to DM

Your Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
• 6+ years of related work experience in the commercial HVAC industry or related field
• 8+ years of strategic leadership of an industrial HVAC business unit (Preferred)
• 4+ years of prior experience managing technicians or employees in a similar role required
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC design, systems, applications, and energy saving solutions
• Demonstrated success in strategically leading business units

This position may be filled at different levels depending on the candidate’s education, experience, and demonstrated competencies.

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $80,400 to $153,300 plus a targeted incentive plan in Alabama. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
