Job Summary:

We seek an experienced Higher Education Account Manager to drive client success and lead strategic marketing initiatives. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, serving as the primary architect of our clients' marketing success stories. You'll manage a portfolio of higher education clients, translating their unique missions into impactful marketing strategies while building lasting partnerships. Managing a diverse range of Higher Ed clients at various stages of their lifecycle requires resilience, adaptability, and high operational rigor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own client relationships and serve as their strategic marketing advisor and day-to-day lead

• Lead strategic conversations and advance the marketing strategy for multiple high-profile client accounts

• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with institutions' enrollment, advancement, and brand goals

• Lead and mentor team members while fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented environment

• Drive innovative solutions by staying ahead of higher education marketing trends and best practices

• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple concurrent campaigns

• Hone strategic and technical expertise to become a subject matter expert in maintaining key relationships.

• Analyze campaign performance and translate data into actionable insights and recommendations

• Identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities within existing client partnerships

• Facilitate clear communication between internal teams and client stakeholders

• Strategically plan long-term while executing short-term needs for clients

• Excel at managing multiple clients and work streams, thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring a strategic mindset that drives innovative, results-focused marketing campaigns.

Required Qualifications:

• 6-8 years of account management experience, with demonstrated success in higher education marketing

• Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns

• Demonstrated expertise in developing a marketing and communications strategy, media planning a plus

• Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels of a client organization

• Demonstrated experience in delivering client-focused solutions

• Experience managing complex projects and client relationships simultaneously

• Demonstrated experience in a combination of the following within a Higher Ed environment: enrollment marketing, advancement campaigns, and brand development

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations

• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field

• Excellent prioritization and time management skills

• Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with marketing technology in a Higher Education environment (HubSpot, Slate, Salesforce)

• Experience working with HBCUs or minority-serving institutions

• Project management or relevant marketing certifications
