The Gathery in New York seeks an experienced Account Manager to work with Creative Directors and Account Directors, translating client objectives into creative marketing solutions in an award-winning environment.

You will lead multiple workstreams, manage client relationships, oversee timelines and budgets, and coordinate with in-house art and production teams; some weeks may require early mornings or late evenings. This is a full-time position in NYC.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Directors on development and presentation of conceptual decks and toolkits; lead select decks with copywriting and ideation.
  • Manage projects through full lifecycle: kickoff, timelines, client feedback, budget tracking, invoicing, deliverables and recaps.
  • Draft contracts and ensure timely execution; review by Account Directors and Founders.
  • Oversee invoicing and payments with Gathery Finance for timely collection.
  • Manage weekly call agendas, notes and recaps for assigned projects.
  • Develop and copywrite critical documents for pitches: decks, timelines, manuals, sponsor documents, and activation decks.
  • Ideate and lead key program partnerships including talent and sponsors.
  • Lead creation of recap decks gathering metrics from stakeholders.
  • Assist with blogging, social media, and agency marketing/PR efforts.

From concepting to development to execution, this position requires an experienced and resourceful candidate who is proficient in managing multiple workstreams, excels in client management, communication, creative writing, and organizational skills, is a critical problem solver, and has an exceptional attention to detail.

The Account Manager will be working directly with our Creative Directors and Account Directors as they ideate, pitch and sell programs to clients. This role will take client objectives and KPIs and translate them into creative marketing solutions in an award-winning environment.Then, help bring our programs to life by working alongside a skilled in-house art and production team, communicating daily with our clients and their partners.

This role will support Account Directors on complex programs and lead select projects.

When acting as an account lead, this candidate will manage all mission critical documents, is responsible for every assigned member of the project team, and is the lead client liaison during the project lifecycle. They own the day-to-day execution, timelines, and deliverables with oversight from the Account Director and Creative Director.

This candidate must be a proficient administrator and self-starter, work well under pressure, and have exceptional people skills. They must be an effective project manager, overseeing multiple workstreams, key team members, and timelines. They are expected to proactively identify risks that should be escalated to their Creative Director and Account Director.

We seek candidates who are culturally savvy in tune with the worlds of art, design, fashion, music and travel.

Candidate must have 5-7 years of relevant work experiences including 2-3 years as a project manager. Previous experience should include creative strategy and copywriting within the luxury, media, and hospitality sectors.Editorial background is considered a positive attribute.

This role is Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 6:00pm, with early mornings and/or late evenings a few days per week as the business requires. You must be willing to work a flexible schedule.

This is a creative environment lead by ideas and design.

Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Partner with Account Directors on the development and presenting of Conceptual Decks and Toolkits and other communication documents that provide creative guidance for new and existing opportunities and initiatives for our clients. At times, you will have the opportunity to lead select Conceptual Decks and Toolkits working directly with our Creative Directors. This is to include distilling the client brief for our team, participating in effective brainstorms, ideation of concepts, research into client or project landscape, mood boarding, and copywriting.
  • Manage projects and initiatives under the oversight of Account Director. Managing the full project lifecycle including kickoff, timelines, client feedback, budget tracking, invoicing, project deliverables, and recap. Managing the assigned project team members and their deadlines. Understanding the clients business and brand to ensure briefs match client needs. Escalate risks, delays, budget concerns, or client challenges in real time as they arise.
  • Draft contracts and ensure they are executed in a timely manner. Account Directors review contracts and Founders approve final terms.
  • Managing invoicing and payments with Gathery Finance and ensure the timely payment.
  • Manage weekly call agendas, notes and recaps for assigned projects and initiatives.
  • Managing, copywriting and developing select critical documents throughout pitches and programs including Creative Decks, Timelines, Brand Ambassador Manuals, Sponsor Documents and other account documents. Oversee internal team to generate timelines and activation deck updates. Enabling internal WIP touch bases with Co-Founders or Creative leads with ample time for feedback and edits prior to client presentations.
  • Ideate and lead key program partnerships including talent and sponsors.
  • Lead the creation of recap decks gathering metrics from all key stakeholders.
  • Award submissions and website materials selection, copy, etc. on assigned projects.
  • Assist with other projects such as helping develop the company's blog, social media, and agency's marketing and PR efforts.

Salary: 90k-100k (dependent on experience)
