Account Manager - Commercial Furniture Sales - New Orleans, LA

Join our team as an Account Manager - Commercial Furniture Sales in New Orleans, LA. Position Overview

The Workplace Consultant plays a key role in developing new business through prospecting, networking, and nurturing existing client relationships. Responsibilities include managing the entire order process, collaborating with the Credit Department for payment collection, and guiding Sales Coordinators alongside the Director of Order Fulfillment. The goal is to consistently exceed sales volume and profit targets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Proactive Prospecting: Identify potential clients via referrals, networking, industry publications, and websites.
  2. Research: Understand prospects' products and industries to qualify leads and develop sales strategies.
  3. Communication: Build rapport, schedule meetings, and present to secure business opportunities.
  4. Sales Presentations & Quotations: Develop tailored sales presentations and prepare quotations and RFPs, including budgeting and pricing.
  5. Order & Installation Management: Ensure smooth order processing and coordinate installations with internal departments.
  6. Credit & Collections: Assist with credit applications, deposits, and resolving payment issues.
  7. Market & Competitor Analysis: Monitor market trends and provide feedback for product and service improvements.
  8. Client Relations & Support: Maintain and grow existing accounts through needs analysis and follow-up.
  9. Team & Special Projects: Support team goals and undertake assigned projects.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Hedberg knowledge or training preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
  • Professional appearance and goal-oriented attitude.
  • Design background or furniture dealership experience is a plus.
Education & Experience
  • BA/BS degree preferred.
  • At least three years of successful sales experience, preferably B2B.
